How long does it take to set up a new bass guitar at a shop?

I'm planning to take my bass guitar to a shop (or just Guitar Center) to have the neck, and bridge adjusted, since I don't trust myself to mess with it, and don't have much experience with it. How much does it take for it to be done, and how much would it cost? Thanks

If you want to give it a try here is a link that explains the process. The link is from Fender but applies in general to most bass guitars. I've been doing... More
