is it too late to write the district attorney?

i went to court and just took a charge that i was not guilty for. now i have to pay a fine of $150 and dont have the money. seeing how i already said to be guilty, is it to late to write the DA and get out of it? i'm from ny, if that changes anything.

Yes, it is to late to try and get out of the charge you should have plead not guilty in court if you was not guilty. Your case is already over and done with now the DA is working on other cases. The DA cannot change things. If you wish to withdraw your plea, you file a motion to withdraw the plea. You file the motion with the court and send a copy to the DA. Whether it will be granted depends on the grounds you assert. Changing your mind is generally not adequate grounds to withdraw a plea.
