will a tattoo affect me getting a job in the future?

Will a tattoo affect me getting a job in the future? i only have one tattoo and its a black triangle with a small eye in the center, its fairly small the sides are only 1 inch long. it is on my fore arm about 2 inches below the bend of my elbow it can be covered up with a long sleeve shirt, even if it is rolled up a few inches i plan on working at a advertising firm, as a graphic designer/creative designer also i dont mind wearing long sleeve dress shirts all the time cause ill probably be wearing suits most of the time so it will be covered will this affect me getting a job at all? here are the firms i might work at: Black Rocket Advertising; Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners; Carol H. Williams; Citron Haligman Bedecarre; Cliff Freeman & Partners; Crispin Porter + Bogusky; Cutwater; Dae Advertising; EBV; Engine Company 1; Foote, Cone, & Belding; Goodby, Silverstein & Partners; Heat Advertising, Hill Holliday; McCann-Erickson; Mortar Advertising; Ogilvy West; Organic; Pereira & O’Dell; Publicis & Hal Riney; Razorfish; Saatchi & Saatchi; TBWA\Chiat\Day; TBWA\Hakuhodo; Venables Bell & Partners; Young & Rubicam

It could. There are still people out there in 2010 that hold onto negative connotations of tattoos. It is best to get one that can be covered up at work and you won't have issues.

Since you can cover it up then it shouldn't be a problem. You don't even have to tell them it's there and them asking is inappropriate anyway.
