I volunteer my time after work, and I anticipate completing 40 hours of service before submitting my scholarship application. I accept and organize furniture, clothing, and food items for those who donate to xxxx. Interacting with the donating individuals and other volunteers is important for improving important social skills that I would not obtain as easily from the manufacturing setting I am accustomed to. I consider good social skills to be valuable, both academically and professionally. Achievements/ Awards Xxxxx Certificate of First Year Academic Achievement Deans List for every eligible semester xxxxx Dean’s list I have a 3.936 cumulative GPA. For the first three semesters of my time at xxxx, I worked 40 – 50 hours a week at xxxx and was still able to maintain an A average with a full credit load.

If I understand, your professor may be writing a letter of recommendation for a scholarship. In a letter of recommendation (or even a phone call of recommendation), your professor will be trying to show that you are credible, that you have experience in what you are applying for (in this case that you excel in... Overall, this resume looks very good. I recently wrote several versions of my resume, and the only thing that I would consider changing is your format. Ideally, you want to be consistent in the format you use in a resume, and when you begin talking about your volunteer experience you change formats a bit. Consider re-... More
