What can I do with an associates degree in computer science?

I'd like to get an associates degree in computer science, I find the field interesting...I live in the phoenix metropolitan area and my friend told me that there would be no way I could find a job when I graduate, as all the tech jobs are taken. Is this true, or do I still have a chance? I'm not just going for a tech certificate or anything, I'm going to a community college. What kinds of jobs can I get?

Not much. Nobody is going to hire an A.S. when they can get a B.S. for the same money. Do yourself a favor: Go for certification instead of an A.S.; an A.S. is worthless in the info tech market, but a certification will get you a REAL job.
