Speaking as an Australian, i can't understand why americans don't like the idea of Government run health care. We have it in this country and it seems to work pretty well. Why are so many Americans against the idea.

I'm against universal health care run by the government because I've seen how they have run other businesses. They don't know how to run a business considering many in our government are life time politicians. Many of our politicians have never had a job in anything but politics so why should they be able to run... More

Bc some think that if you have more people than say your fellow neighbor, you can/should be able to see a better/more experienced doctor & that some of their taxes would go to someone who has less money, it would go for their health.

I really think it's just fear of change. Americans are also notoriously against being controlled too much by a government and higher taxes.

Because we do not want to have to pay for all the illegal Mexicans ( millions of them ) and those on welfare who are just to lazy to work ( blacks ) to have free health care while I have to work 80 hours a week to support my family.

I suppose people make it seem more complicated then it really is. Even I'm not sure of every specification. Obama's health care bill was very large, and I don't know very many people who have read all of it. There's a lot to consider, and I think most poeple don't really understand how it works... More
