What are the duties of an lpn opposed to an rn?
Do lpn administer shots and give medication? Where do they often work? Is there a challenge to the job? Are there any disadvantages? What do rn perform that put them above lpn and make it more seemingly of a job to people? Personal details appreciated.

LPNs and RNs have different scopes of practice. LPNs cannot assess patients and they cannot triage, and they can't administer IV medications. Usually RN will do the intravenous medications like fluids, IV antibiotics, blood transfusion where there is a larger room for error and you need more experience. IN my area LPNs can not do nursing assessments or triage; which is what knocks them out of most jobs. They also can not do IV push, hang blood, do IV therapy stuff like that.
