Did the American school system prepare students for factory work?

I heard that the American school system prepared students for work in factories,is this true?

Not at all! We don't encourage anyone to work in a is where you wind up working if you did not go to college, or live some place where there are no better jobs. School teaches academics, music, and p.e. only.

No. Maybe at one time. Schools tend to try to convince student to attend some form of post-secondary education. Many also have some career training and training in skilled trades.

No we get all our products made in factories from China. Schools here give you different tastes of what you are interested in and prepare you for college then from college is where you decide if you want to work in a factory or be whatever you want. Take care and God bless.

...............when I went to school..... back in the day...... we had wood shop metal shop including some foundry work....plastics shop and even leather shop....Automotive shop .Drafting that was in the days when you graduated ,you went to work at the steel mill... or... More
