What is the difference between a TFT monitor and a LCD monitor? Which one matches the best for printing jobs?

I am a graphic designer and I am planning to buy a good monitor. I do printing jobs (CMYK), so the monitor should show exact print colours. Please suggest some good monitors.

TFT is a type of LCD monitor, basically the type that virtually all modern LCD monitors are. lcd refers to liquid crystal displav and tft refers to true flat telivision both are the name of lcd dear .
