A question for those in civil engineering field.?

I want to major in civil engineering. I also desire to have a job where i can travel alot, mostly internationally, to work. Is it feasible for me to want to get a degree in civil engineering, and plan on traveling to poorer parts of the world to help improve their cities, such as water resource development or the other areas of C.E.? How likely is it that i would be able to find jobs like that, even if they are volunteer experience. Thanks. P.S.: anything else you would like to inform me about Civil Engineering would be highly appreciated.
