Would you donate PBSC or Bone Marrow to someone you hated or that severely wronged you?

(PBSC is Peripheral Blood Stem Cells) Okay... Someone that wrongly cost you a good job, the love of your life, etc. They or their family member's have cancer and need a PBSC infusion or Bone Marrow transplant. You figured out without a doubt that it was them (Under HIPAA rules you the coordinators don't tell you who). Such as... They are happy that they found a match shortly after you do a battery of tests. The age and cancer type match exactly to that of this person. Then they get an infection, postponing the procedure, you are informed the procedure is postponed because, and the family announces everything on Facebook. Would you continue with it? Would you pull out of it? Would you tell this person?? I was thinking about a person or two that screwed me over... The extent of my hate is passive aggressive. I would not do it. I would tell them joyfully, via e-mail, that I am likely the donor and I am not going to make this donation. I would be revealed and happy. The tables have turned. I get to return the favor, plus some. If they died or their family member died, I would accept responsibility , I would own it. I would go further and post it on Facebook and make T-shirts. I would celebrate. I would more prefer that it would be one of their beloved family members, so they can live grief and pain.... and hate me. Better yet, I would wait until this person is at the "point of no return" when they chemo and/or radiation therapy depleted their immune system to nothing, then ditch them. Jazz: It's theoretical. I was selected to give PBSC, to some unknown woman, outside the USA. BUT, honestly if It was one of those people that got me laid off, I wouldn't do it. I would rather it be their spouse or child, so that they can live with the loss.

i have donated bone marrow to a complete stranger and would do so again but the scenario you have put forth would be a test of individual moral obligation. {that is why it is done with anonyminty}

Yes, I would donate the bone marrow. As a Christian I feel personally called toward love & forgiveness. Even if they had killed a close friend I would donate the marrow - no matter how difficult that may be.
