What were some common/popular surnames during the 1960's?
I'm writing a story that takes place in the 1960's during the Vietnam War but I am having some trouble coming up with names for characters (male names, not female). I found a list online of first names that were popular during the 1960's but I have no idea what to do about last names. Help? I can't write a story with characters that have no names.

The "sons": Johnson, Allison, Mathison. Or pick a famous one: Pitt, Ford, Bush, Gates etc... More
