Can you work in another job whilst on sick leave for work related stress?

I am currently experiencing alot of problems in work with management and staff members related to them. My partner is urging me to take work related stress sick leave and he will support me through a greivance, as he sees me coming home from work each day extremely upset. But I cannot surrvive on SSP and was wondering if I were able to have a part time job as well to help me through my greivance?
