SHould i be a medical assistant or a lpn?

so im going to dover business college which is in Nj its a very small school it's a year program or 2 year program school like everest! on tv so i was wondering which one is better. i also wanna have another job as a hair stylist so i think medical assis. cause they have less hours!

Unfortunately, there aren't supposed to be too many jobs for the MA (or medical biller or coder) despite what those private $$ business/tech schools (such as dover business college seems) or online, for-profit schools such as everest proclaim anyway. If you want better advancement in a career and LPN will be better. Being a medical assistant takes less hours to get than an LPN. But a LPN pays a lot more. LPN will take more schooling but once you get a job you can do more things with it. You can go become a nurse later on if you want to. LPN or nurses in general... More

@ the guy in the city: LPNs are nurses (Licensed Practical NURSE) Go with LPN. You'll get paid more, can do more stuff, have better job opportunities, and can bridge to RN at a later date.
