Now Global Warming is Shown to be a Hoax, Should Government Funding Be Reduced?

Now that leading scientists are recanting their stories about global warming being unequivocal to the world may not be warming much at all, should government funding of global warming research be reduced to reduce the federal deficit? How much should global warming research be reduced? 10%, 25%, or 100%?

Yes, and this principle should be applied to all government departments and agencies. For instance, every time the Department of Homeland Security, CIA, etc, fails to do their job in stopping terrorists (i.e., the Detroit underwear bomber fiasco), they should have their budget cut by at least 10%, and the top officials... I think 10% or less than that, just in case. as humans, we are constantly learning new things and we might find out that we were right in the first place. Besides, conserving energy can't hurt.

If global warming is truly a hoax then yes funding should be reduced. The money could be put to better use especially at tough times. The reduced amount however shouldn't be a ballpark figure; It should be based on analysis on what, when and how unnecessary spending are used.

Some climate research should continue, and it is important to have reliable data. Obviously, enormous amounts of money were wasted on the East Anglia CRU. The earth has more pressing problems.

AGW is a scam not a hoax. A hoax implies completely untrue. This has been a scam to exaggerate in order to profit. I'd reduce funding 50%.
