they will grow up to be a little socially akward, shy and introverted and go on to live otherwise normal lives. Thats all it is.. All these enormous amounts of ' autistic' kids are what we would have 20 years ago called shy or 'odd' kids and they all turned out mostly fine. so thats it. no huge special need adult... More

my brother is one of those people right now. He's almost 35. Right now he's still living with our parents but sooner or later, the responsibilty will land on me and my sister and it's nerve-racking trying to come up with the best decision for all of us...I wish everyone the best when it is time for them to think about... Im a mum to a 12yo daughter who has autism spectrum disorder and the future does worry me, im sure she will be fine and be able to live independently on her own but at the moment you just have to wait and see. I think there's o lot more diagnosis of autism cause its more understood today then what it was say 20 years... More
