I think until we can find more efficient methods of exploring, such as faster ships, it's probably just a wasted effort at the current point in history. Should any breakthroughs in propulsion systems arise in the future, my opinion will most likely be in favor of seeing more of what's out there.

There are hundreds of products that we use every day including microwave ovens that are the result of our space programs. Sure beats spending the money supporting lowlifes who don't contribute anything.

I think it is important to continue viewing through the Hubble telescope, but sending folks into outer space is a HUGE waste of taxpayer money.
