how to become a vet tech?

I am now 17 and in 11th grade, I do online classes. I would like to become a vet tech when I get out of high school. What are the requirements to become a vet tech, and if there is any info that anybody has, feel free to share. I would like to know EVERYTHING about becoming one and what you do as a vet tech. feel free to share all the information you have, it would help me alot. also, can you do this online? or do you need to actually go to a college for this?

Veterinary technicians are required (in most states) to have a 2 year degree in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited veterinary technology program, to have passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam and a state exam in order to be credentialed. You have to go to college or a technical college to become a vet tech. Vet techs have to be registered, certified, or licensed by the state depending on the state.
