How do I insulate the pipes in my baseboard heaters (cigarette smoke coming in from downstairs neighbors)?
I was told they sell foam for this, but Im not sure what its called, and if the entire pipe needs it, or certain areas? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

USA Spray foam as previously mentioned - such as Great Stuff - is ok and will do the job. However, the stuff burns quickly. You can purchase expansion foam in aerosol cans designed to fill gaps when installing doors and windows in new construction. This would take care of filling the gaps where the pipes penetrate the walls and ceiling/floor spots to minimize or eliminate the smoke infiltration into your space.
