Where to get good but cheap dog grooming clippers?

I just got a job at a dog groomers. She said she would loan me one of hers for a while but I eventually need to get myself some clippers and razors. Anyone know a website or suggestions on a brand that works well and where I can get some for cheap? Thanks!

Good & cheap don't necessarily go together. The best site for clippers is petedge.com for selection & prices. The basic Andis or Oster will work well but any decent pair will start at $100+. You either want a good brand, or you want cheap. And why do you have to buy anything to work at a dog groomer's? They should be supplying all of those things for you.

you will have to go to a specialty store and spend alot of money on clippers. clippiing dogs with the wirey hair is hell on clippers. if you dont want to replace them every two weeks you need to get the more expensive ones

Find out what type you want first. Then hunt for a bargain. Try posting on a groomer bulletin board & say how you are starting out & want to buy some used clippers. Someone may have up graded & want a bit of cash. Just be careful of scams.

You get what you pay for, They come in contact with the dog and if they are not of good quality, they can cause harm. It is your lively hood, get the best you can afford, there are lots of inexpensive Models without all the bells and whistles. Try ebay. Try clipper repair shops, they may have reconditioned ones.
