What are some good things about how china's one child policy is good for china's population?

im doing a debate at school on april 7,2010 and my team has to talk about the good side of china's one child gonna debate about its population and i need some good things about it.the information has to be long enough for 2 mintues.and all i know im gonna say is tht the policy can keep the country's population low and under control.

one child that has food to eat, clothes to wear, healthcare, education is better than 10 or 100 children that are starving, no clothes, not healthy, no education and die in their 30's due to diseases and bad nutrition.

the "one child policy" has both good and bad points, as have all policies. The good points have been mentioned and the bad points have been distorted by previous/other posters. No government policy is ever perfect, no matter what country.
