Do you agree with Tom Tancredo is calling for the resignation Janet Napolitano following the murder?

Former Congressman Tom Tancredo is calling for the resignation of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano following the murder last weekend of a southeastern Arizona rancher. Rob Krentz was shot and killed last Saturday by a suspected drug smuggler who allegedly made their way across the southeastern Arizona border in Cochise County, Ariz. Tancredo, an anti-illegal immigration crusader, was in the border county at the time. He said Krentz’s murder is a reflection of failed policies and actions by Napolitano and the entire Obama administration. The Jefferson County Republican said if more of a focus was placed on border patrol, including sending in the National Guard, deaths such as Krentz’s could be avoided. In a YouTube video posted yesterday, Tancredo called for Napolitano’s resignation. “She is not a person who should be in charge of Homeland Security when she purposely lies about the conditions in and around that border,” Tancredo said in the video, sitting in his home office surrounded by a cardboard cutout of John Wayne that states, “Defend our borders.” “We must not let the murder of Rob Krentz be forgotten as just one more tragedy on that border,” Tancredo said earlier in the video. “It is a tragedy, but it is one that could have been prevented if the Congress and the President of the United States would only listen to the people on that border and to the millions of Americans who have been calling for border security — but they’ve turned a deaf ear to it.” A spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security told the Denver Daily News yesterday in an e-mail that a surge of law enforcement personnel is happening in “key areas” along the border. Matt Chandler, a spokesman for Napolitano, defended the Homeland Security secretary’s policies. “In March 2009, Secretary Napolitano implemented unprecedented new efforts to crack down on the smuggling of illicit weapons, cash and drugs that fuel ongoing cartel violence — with a specific emphasis on outbound inspections of trains, trucks, cars and individuals heading south into Mexico,” said Chandler. “U.S. Customs and Border Protection, in coordination with federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement, remains vigilant in the face of increased violence in Mexico, and is determined to prevent violence from crossing over the border into the United States.” Chandler said his department is “outraged” over Krentz’s murder, pointing out that federal law enforcement agencies have been assisting in the investigation. Customs and Border Protection provided air and marine support to assist in the search for the suspect, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement has dedicated agents to the case on a full-time basis, said Chandler. ICE is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect or suspects responsible for the murder. “DHS continues to work around the clock to help our state and local law enforcement partners bring those responsible to justice,” Chandler said in a statement. He also points out that since 2004, border patrol has doubled in size to approximately 20,000 agents. And since the southwest border initiative was launched last year, special border patrol agents have been increased; ICE intelligence analysts have grown; all southbound rail shipments have been searched; and canine teams have been expanded, according to Homeland Security officials. But Tancredo believes the Obama administration is more focused on an immigration reform proposal that would provide undocumented immigrants with a path to citizenship than it is with securing the nation’s borders. “The reason Napolitano cannot admit we have a border security problem is that such an admission would complicate Obama’s political agenda,” said Tancredo. “It is shameful that Obama is putting politics ahead of the safety of our communities and our nation.” http://www.thedenverdailynews.com/article.php?aID=7902 Do you agree with Tom Tancredo is calling for the resignation Janet Napolitano following the murder of the rancher by an illegal alien ?

That is a Trash Talk and the source is not credible. And if it could be why she would be responsible at all??? On the other hand they wanted Janet Napolitano resign after the Christmas day airplane attack.

They should have gotten rid of her a long time ago. The best replacement would be Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Disagree; these unfortunate incidents will always happen. Connecting it to Janet Napolitano makes no logical sense. As for the National Guard---Tancredo's complaint should be with Jan Brewer, the state governor who could have ordered National Guard troops to the Arizona/Mexico border, and not Janet Napolitano.
