Is the reason the cons are against Unions because they want a 6 day work week with 14 hour long days?
Or do they just hate vacation time (which in America is freaking pathetic). I wonder how much they'd like the Unions if they were injured on the job and couldn't get worker's comp or health insurance?

Unions have ran their course and their are now laws in place to protect the worker. Unions are not needed anymore as they are a bunch of over paid lazy thugs

Not at all. We are against any form of monopoly that stifles competition and drives jobs out of the cuntry.

I get two weeks paid time off every year at my civilian job, paid holidays, and 5 sick days.. How much paid time off does one deserve? Are you suggesting we be like France where employers are required to give a disgusting 30 days paid vacation every year?

Because of unions we cannot compete with countries that allow for child slavery!

Unions were necessary at one time. But once all of their reasonable demands were met, they started making unreasonable demands. Take a drive through Detroit and tell me how that worked out for the Unions.

In Europe you get up to six weeks vacation in some countries. Is pathetic that here in the US we just get two or three at most. For those of us who like to travel outside of the US, mostly to Europe or Asia, two weeks do not allow you the time to visit many places.

I wonder how all the out-of-work auto workers displaced when union redistributive wealth demands forced the industry out of Detroit and overseas feel about that benevolent "union protection" now? If the reason I have to fork over "union dues" is for someone else to do my talking for me while drinking champagne... More

unions have outlived their purpose. when they worked for overtime pay and the end of child labor, great. when they make three times what i make and it cost me an extra 4,000 to buy a car just to fund their retiremment, while i have to struggle to make a car payment.that is pathetic. they only worry about themselves...
