Where can I get my first credit card with no credit history?
I am a 19 year old college student with a good job. I am trying to apply for a credit card but everyone is denying my application because I have no credit history, even cards that are supposed to be for students. Is there any way to get a credit card if I have no credit history without having to get my parents to co-sign? Thanks!

Take $500 to your nearest credit union and apply for a secured card. Bring proof of employment. The $500 will be deposited into a savings account that will guarantee (not fund) the card in case you make a late payment or default. It won't happen New laws were enacted in February that if you are under 21, you have to make a certain amount of money or have your parents cosign. Get a secured card from your bank.
