Who is your favorite horse race caller and what is your favorite racetrack?

I like Trevor Denman. His accent is fun to listen to and he does a great job of calling the race. It makes the race more exciting when I hear is voice and it isn't as flat as an American accent. My favorite racetrack would have to be Santa Anita and then Del Mar. I live very close to both so I probably am a little biased. I love the history at Santa Anita and how beautiful it is!

Trevor Denman is a fantastic announcer. My favorite track is Saratoga. So, I am partial to Tom Durkin. We have the pleasure of enjoying the two best announ cers in the game today, as well as the finest race tracks in America. I have yet to see Del Mar, but my understanding is that it is The Saratoga meet of the West... More

I agree that Trevor Denman is the best race-caller in the business, not because of his South African accent but because he paints a terrific word picture of the race. My favorite track is Churchill Downs. The place just reeks of history and there is no more impressive sight at any venue than the legendary twin spires... More

Trevor's fine, but I LOVE Tom Durkin. I like Trevor's accent, but the way he calls some of the races gets on my nerves. For the show Jockeys, Trevor dubbed different race calls over the races and I've noticed that he's started calling live races like he's doing the show. Like the Breeders Cup Turf Sprint last fall... Saratoga, Trevor Denman. I've never been to Del Mar, though I did have the opportunity to ride there. Missed opportunity. :-( I bet it would be my favourite.

I don't have a favorite announcer, but I do have a lot of favorite tracks. All of the Triple Crown venues are among them, as is Saratoga. I also like Santa Anita. I agree with Kmiami, Thistledown is a dump. The city of Cleveland has attempted to get it shut down in the past, because it's considered to be such an... More
