Why won't anyone hire me?

I am a senior in college majoring in Management Information Systems. I have ample free time, as I only take classes on Tuesday and Thursday. I have working experience: two cashier jobs, one shift manager job, and a medical tech. All I'm applying for is part-time work since I am still finishing up my degree. I type 60wpm, and I am fully capable of performing every job that I apply for. Still, I have not even gotten any calls to set up any interviews. I don't have any criminal history. I don't do drugs. I'm reliable. I have been told by past supervisors that I was one of their hardest working employees. I am also honest and have good credit. Why can't I even get people to consider me, much less hire me? The only interview I've had in months was an assistant to an appraiser and he filled the position with someone else only to post the ad again in two weeks. Am I just a bad person? Why won't anyone hire me? I have friends who pick up jobs and then not even show up to the job. Why can others get jobs that they obviously don't want or need or care about and I can't even get someone to call me back? Help? I'm so frustrated and about to give up!!!
