Has anyone written a Thank you letter and got a job?

I went for an interview yesterday and I was wondering if I should write a Thank you letter. I wanted to know if anyone went on a interview and then write a Thank you letter and got a job. I just don't want to write a Thank you letter and ended up not getting the job. Help me, what should I do?

Write the letter. even if you do not get the job they will like that you wrote it and it might be a job you get in the future.
