Is Physical Therapist Assistant a good job?

I'm thinkin about changing my major to that instead of Ultrasound Tech because it seems like better job security in the area I live. Also it sounds like something I would like to do. Any advice or tips about that sort of job would be great. Thanks. :) I've read that to be a physical therapist you have to get your masters and I wasn't really liking that idea, what makes the assistant job so bad??

Actually to be a PT is a bachelors degree, a PTA is an associates degree. There are Master and PHD degrees in the field , but one must crawl before they can walk. Check out your states PTA association and local colleges.
