How to become a good boss/leader.?
I am trying to build up my leadership skills. I was wondering if anyone who is or was a boss or maybe a leader of a certain group. What makes a good leader or boss. How does one get his subordinates to follow his or her objectives/orders. Is it better to be a intense boss like "Get so and so done ASAP or else" or a a laid back boss like "hey jeff, can you get this done when you have some free time". Any tips would be helpful.

You have to find a realistic medium between the two ways you described. I've found that when you are laid back there will always be one or two who try to challenge you and actually ignore what you tell them to do. Whatever you do try not to be a friend to them, that's when you run into problems.
