What is the retirement age for a video game designer?

I'm doing a career research project and I need to know the longevity of this career field or software design, graphic design, engineer etc. I've looked everywhere. Please don't let me down, easy points.

So long as you produce and make decent programs there is no retirement age. I know programmers who are in their 60s and still working as there is always some add on or function required for a variety of different programs and especially one they've created and must maintain. well it depends when your eyes go blurry and your hands start to twitch xD But honestly, a game programmer is one of the jobs that don't have a standard retirement age... Seeings as you can work at home aswell, is going to be my career for the future :)

For some companies, in the 50's. But in m y opinion you can never be too old for game designing.

To clarify the previous comments. Game designer is not the same as a game programmer, although many of the biggest game designers had hands in programming at least their first games... More
