s***m Banks? Cost? Is it a good option? Any info you have!?

I haven't done alot of research on s***m banks but from what i have seen it isn't that expensive. Everyone has told me how ridiculously expensive it is but It looks as if a vial is around $500 and plus maybe $500 more for testing and stuff. Is that the going rate? Also was does ART mean? I understand the ICI and IUI and IVF but what is ART? I may consider using a s***m bank as a way too start my family in several years ( after college and when I obtain a stable job and am financially stable). I assume I would use either ICI or IUI. Is it really as hard and expensive as I have heard? Are they super selective about who a recipient is? Is that why people say it is so difficult? Because financially it looks alot cheaper than adoption which was my original plan but some many agencies and countries have shut down completely or shut down to singles so my options are dwendelling away. If you are knowledgable about s***m banks please share your knowledge. I"d love to learn more. Better yet, if anyone has children due to a s***m bank please share your story. Thanks so much! Any info you have would be much appreciated!

Plus all of the blood tests you'll have to go through first to determine your... More

It CAN be expensive. A vile is good for ONE TRY, so if the first time fails you need to buy another vile. s***m banking to get pregnant usually doesn't cost too terribly much unless there are fertility problems. I have a client who did it, and she has a fabulously gorgeous little boy with blue eyes all his own... More
