How can I convince my parents to let me have my own job instead of working for them?
I am only sixteen and they are forcing me to work at their office five days a week, eight hours a day. With NO PAY. I can't stand it and I can't stand them. And I tried telling them I already got a job, but they won't let work there. I scared if I just don't show up and stuff that they will ground me for the summer or kick me out or something. I dont know what to do, please help!

Let them know regardless of the fact that you are their progeny, You are not their slave. There are child labor laws and it sounds like they are violating a few statutes... More

They won't kick you out, but try to sit down with them and talk about why they won't let you earn money for yourself. Tell them you want some expensive thing or whatever, maybe they'll let you get a paying job.
