I'm a college sophomore and is a $15 an hour position as administrative assistant in law firm a good position? Is this job worth keeping if I will 20 hours a week and my class subjects will be difficult for the next two semesters; I will be taking Organic Chemistry I & II.

It's a really good position -- the most I ever made in college was $9.15/hr -- however, 20 hours a week at work might make it difficult to give your classes the attention they deserve. Try it, but if your grades start slipping you'll probably need to cut back on hours or find a job more suitable to an educational... More

I would take it. It's hard to find a job that pays above minimum wage. If it ends up being too much and you can't focus on your studies, you can always ask for a reduction in hours or quit, but I wouldn't pass up that opportunity if I were you.

20 hours a week is a lot, especially if this is your first job. Ask if you can work only 10 hours a week instead (academics need to come first). But $15/hour is great!
