I am inquiring into breaking into the insurance field and have been researching classes.?

I am currently working in the legal field with the majority of my time spent in insurance defense. I am very interested in changes careers and going into the insurance field: an claims rep/adjuster/underwriter. I have been looking into the AICPU classes to obtain more insurance information and wanted opinions into if I should invest the time and money getting through the introductory classes without having a job for an insurance company. What do you think? I have worked in the legal field for the past 10 years from a legal secretary to a paralegal. I am just ready for a change.

Without knowing more about your work history, I would say GO FOR IT ! Seems like insurance claims or regulatory compliance could use you. The Company will have plenty of L.O.M.A. , I.C.A, etc. courses that you can take and they will pay for it. They're legal dept. may need you as well. Good luck
