If the EPA would back off some of their rules, could the US bring back manufacturing jobs back home,from China?

McDonald's just recalled thousands of children's gift/toy Shrek because of Cadmium danger. If we could bring those kinds of manufacturing jobs back to the US shores, would we have more jobs and less worry about how things are made?

No. Then we would have cadmium in our toys. The jobs move to China not because of EPA laws, but because there are no laws at all in China governing manufacturing or labor.

The cost of labor in china is much lower, but it costs money to ship their goods here too. We could create alot of jobs if we just loosened alot of the restrictions on labor. Like minimum wage, im sure theres a few thousand unemployed people who would love to take a job for $5.00 an hour but its illegal to pay someone... More
