Isn't affirmative action just legalized, blatant racism against white people?
White man scores 100. Black man scores 70. So we give the job to the black man. What's next, will the government give people a ten dollar bill every time they spit into a white person's eye while walking down the street? Or maybe the government will begin to put white people into concentration camps everytime they do something good for science or humanity. Because after all, everytime a white person does something good it's just beause they are holding the black man down.

Another one of these? Well for one I never get any handouts. And Two, don't worry; I doubt there will be any camps in the future. Stop being paranoid and racist; and go on with your life.

I'm completely against affirmative action but you should consider the socioeconomic disparity that still exists between the races, us only being three generations past the Civil Rights movement.

It definitely is racism. Nobody should look at skin color in hiring, college admissions, etc. The only issue should be capability.

Yes. I understand why it came about & perhaps it was a necessity of the time (being the lesser evil). However, we are quickly getting to the point where affirmative action does more harm to race relations than it helps. There are equal opportunity laws that people can use to protect themselves against wrongful... More

I think you're overreacting. It only covers government employees and all it is a quota. It also applies to women.
