Moving to Los Angeles with Scots husband?

I'm from Denver, CO. but I've been offered a job in Burbank, CA at Viacom. He has a degree in Environmental conservation and will probably try for work in the Santa Monica Mountains or maybe the channel Islands, he was offered a job in Scotland, but I didn't want to leave the US. Any help on good locations to live that would suit us both would be appreciated.

Because of our lousy job situation here, it would likely be best to move to Burbank until your husband finds a job, there is likely a lot of competition for jobs in his field. Generally, I would recommend living close to work. It makes an enormous difference as LA is huge and traffic is terrible. Some people I know, regularly spend at least an hour each way to and from work. That's 10 hours a week spent sitting in traffic... More

Start in Calabasas, Agoura, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Westlake, Newbury Park, or as far west as Camarillo. Chatsworth and Porter Ranch are also nice.
