What can I do with a Bachelors degree in Sociology?

I'd like something along the lines of social worker, or counselor. Something like that but that doesn't require a degree in Social Work so it could be substituted with Sociology. I plan to apply for a job working at a group home for adolescents, but what else are my options? Thanks. Hootie: What do you mean by cottage worker? Does Rosemary's ring a bell by any chance?

Positions in Social Services vary from state to state. Most state and federal jobs require an undergraduate degree (exception is corrections - all you need is a high school diploma, equivalent or GED). Most agencies want people with a 4 year degree because it shows that you followed through with a commitment. They... More

Well, you can be a social case worker which is like a social worker except you have a bachelor's in a social science or education. You could also work as a juvenile probation officer. Really, you probably just need to talk to a college adviser or someone who actually holds a sociology degree. Best of luck.
