Which is better a credit union or a bank?
I got my first job and i want to open an account somewhere but i don't know where? My first question is which one is better? And my second question is what are the different benefits to each?

Credit unions are financial institutions, like banks. They offer many of the same products and services -- savings accounts, checking accounts, ATM/debit cards, credit cards, auto loans, mortgages, home equity loans, etc. Both have deposit insurance so your money will be safe. Banks are less likely to disappear overnight than credit unions. Banks will give you less interest than credit unions, but that is because of the risk involved.
