Why is the Republican mantra only jobs "lost" instead of holding employers accountable for?

being corporations that are reaping massive benefits for being employers in the most successful economy in the history of the world? Why are all the tiny violins played because corporations "have to" cut jobs while giving their top-level goons amazing salaries and bonuses.. isn't the reality that the status quo in America is the top get amazing compensation at the expense of everyone else, and we should be looking at what corporations spend their money on, rather than decrying the loss of jobs when we hold them accountable to average Americans?
