How much money do Engineers make abroad?

Ive been researching the wages of begining engineers. Both my school and the web news say that the average wages for a begining engineer fresh out of school is around 50K depending on which engineering degree a person gets. Do you have any knowledge on an engineers wage? Also if I got my degree in USA and moved to another country then how much would I get. Would it raise or lower my wages to move out of the states? Any other info on engineers is welcomed, i.e. if you like it, what its like, best paying engineering jobs, funnest jobs... etc etc
