Suppose an electrician did a job, and he only charged the customer for what he paid for materials, as a reimbursement, and did not charge anything for labor?

He either has a certain agenda - ie he holds you in high regard as a friend / relative / love interest / someone who doesnt necessarily have the means to pay for the work, or it could be that he has a mark-up going on the material ie he got them for cheaper than what he invoiced you for, so it appears that you are... did he charge you "HIS " pricew. If he's a contractor, he made money. Generally they charge three times retail, he is full of BS, because they dont work that way, He might have had the parts already and wanted to sell them, so he gave you a break
