President Obama states it is the Federal government's job to enforce federal law?

What if all the states didn't enforce federal law in regard to murder, federally controlled substances (illegal drugs) and other federal crimes they expect local/state law enforcement to enforce? Isn't the White House lawsuit just another example of trying to score points politically at the expense of legal citizens' rights for safe homes and communities. I feel sorry for Arizona residents and how they have been treated by both Bush and now Obama.
