Radiation Therapist vs. Radiologic Technologist, Which one is the better career? Will one lead to more jobs?

I know that the Radiation Therapists get payed more but will I be able to find a job in it in 2 years? What is the outlook for each? Any help from those in the field- Thank you!

Radiation Technologist by far would help you to get more jobs. Radiological Therapists usually only involve a diploma, whereas the technologist usually involves a degree. I hope that this helps you. If you require further information, please feel free to email me.

Which career is better, is what is best for you. I'd recommend shadowing people from both. Unfortunately, I've heard they're both pretty flooded fields right now. Radiation Therapy might be more available. I dunno, though. has forums available that discuss this very thing. Example: More

Don't bother emailing mtwaites...she doesn't even have the terminology right. The market for radiologic technologists currently isn't great. Radiation therapists make a TON more than radiologic technologists.
