What kind of wages would an Administrative Assistant expect to earn in LA?

Secretary/Admin Assistant/PA - whatever the job title is! Monthly or annual salary - I just need a general idea really of what I could earn doing this kind of work. Thanks

It really depends on your expertise, experience, skills and duties. The pay can be anywhere from about $24,000 to $85,000+ a year in LA. Depends on your education background, experience and the type of company, financial firm or individual you would work for. A friend of mine started around $55,000 or so at a financial firm. $50,000 to $55,000 PA max depending on your experience. As software profession with 4 to 6 years are getting only between $70,000 to $90,000 PA.

That sounds pretty high. The ones I know who work for my friends as Admin Assistants make about $38K - $45K a year.

I can't help with the salary range, but understand that unemployment is very high in the Los Angeles area. Jobs are almost non existent. If you're planning to come here DON'T come without a guaranteed job offer.
