How can I get an interview for a teaching job?

I graduated in December 2009, with a certification in ec-4 generalist and special education ec-12. I live in the Dallas area, and I just can not seem to get anyone to notice me. I apply for jobs, email and try to call principals but I am ignored. What is the best way to gain interest from prospective employers? I have even started my Master's degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in literacy. I just feel so locked out!

If you decide to go this route, make sure you get some letters of recommendation from any teachers/administrators that you work with. Try to keep a positive demeanor, because it's... More
