Is Bankers Life and Casualty a scam job?

Today was my 3rd interview with Bankers and after I am in there not even 10 min., the agent told me I was hired. I am very confused. This was my first one on one interview with this company. The other two were group interviews with not so believeable presentations. I have a crappy job right now and am totally eager in fiding a new job. I did not apply for this job. They called me and said they found my resume online. I need some insight. So far I have read alot of different blogs saying how this company is nothing but a scam not only to the employees, but also to the customers. There are alot of customers that have had issues with getting payments from their policies. This job is 30 min away from where I live and I would be required to make so many face to face appointments with potential clients. Presently where I work, we have to make cold calls and I know how hard it is to actually get a customer from hundereds of calls made to strangers that do not want to hear what you have to say. Does anyone have anything good to say about this company

Just by your description alone, it's a scam company. There's going to be a catch, i.e. "We need $50 to process your something or other". Trust your research. In this economy, cold calls and no leads = no income.

I thought I'd share the resent experience I just went through, which is the rudest "interview" I have ever attended, with Bankers Life and Casualty in Swansea, IL. I had been to plenty of these insurance hiring scams before, so I knew what to expect, and I had even turned down an interview with Bankers before when I... More
