What kind of jobs can I do that involve horses?

I have a plan. After high school, I will join the Air Force, and do two years of collage there, and after 18 months, I will finish out collage, and maybe get a masters. But I'm not sure what job I can get that involves horses. I want to have a working horse farm, but until that happens, I had a few ideas, I could be a farrier, or perhaps a riding instructor? I just need some open ideas on what I should do.

By horse farm, you mean a ranch? Either of those options would be good. You can muck out stables and help clean and groom them, I guess.

You could be a mounted police officer, or mounted officer for the border patrol, or lead trail rides, or work on a dude ranch, or be a mounted park ranger, or even be a mounted mail man (they still have those in remote locations,). Contrary to other answers here, there are still quite a few horse related jobs out... More
