What are some ways of obtain help with funding for a Private Pilots license?

I am a Civil Engineering student that can not stop thinking about flying. I joined a local branch of EAA and offered to volunteer my time there. I my question is does anyone know where i can get a private pilot scholarship.I live in the upper Midwest and resources here are scarce. I have a couple thousand set aside but that is not even close. I do not have any family or friends that are pilots, so i am looking for good ideas. Thank you for reading and fly safe

Do it like we all did it... save your money. You're going to be an engineer so you'll probably be making decent money after college. Wait until you have enough money saved and start flying.
