Why is the fading generations Republican party talking about raising the retirement age on the youth?

How will it be easier for the young world to get a job with a larger worker pool and the wage competition to match. Leave Social Security alone old people, it is not a investment.

It's either that or raise payroll taxes. The program as it is is not sustainable.

NOTHING WILL BE DONE WITH SOCIAL SECURITY, MEDICARE, MEDICAID AND OTHER ENTITLEMENT PROGRAMS UNTIL THE GOVERNMENT IS FORCED TO. BY THAT TIME THEY WILL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT DO ELIMINATE MOST IF NOT ALL OF THEM.

What SSI has been is a piggy bank for Democrats. If they had left it alone it would be solvent. We either have to raise the age of retirement or the payroll tax, which do you want to do? Bush tried SSI reform amd the libs said a pack of lies to defeat the idea. So now the fund goes broke and the Democrats will do... More

You my friend have absolutely no idea of what you speak, when in fact it is the Democratic party that first raised the proposition to raise the retirement age, not the Republicans, and also it was the Democratic party that devised this scheme of social security, which was no more than a sneaky way to raise taxes during...
